How smart routing works
Smart routing lets one smart link serve many real-world moments. Rules evaluate conditions such as schedule windows, event phase, or device hints, then send visitors to the right destination while placements preserve “where” they engaged.
Rules stack on top of smart links
Each smart link has a default destination—your fallback. Routing rules add conditional destinations evaluated in priority order until a match is found.
Because the encoded URL on printed QR or NFC stays tied to the placement, you can change logic online as menus, laws, or campaigns shift.
Operations patterns we see in production
Restaurants: breakfast vs dinner menus; bars: rotating taps vs late-night simplified menu.
Events: pre-show FAQ vs live stream vs survey; hotels: weekday concierge vs weekend activities.
What gets logged
Analytics records the chosen destination, placement, modality (scan vs tap), timestamp, and contextual fields (device category, geo when available) for downstream reporting.
